I never actually ran into money trouble throughout the demo, but the seeming lack of any repeatable way to gain money makes me go pretty solidly into money/item hoarding mode when it comes to interacting with shops and using items to heal in the middle of a dungeon vs. Money management makes me slightly leery. When adding a new Coromon to my team it never felt like it took excessively long to get it up to speed Subjectively, the EXP curve feels pretty generous. The system for moves where you can always go back and re-enable moves you've taken off of a Coromon's battle list is GREATLY appreciated to encourage experimenting with new moves rather than clinging to the ones that are already working. HM-like moves like PUSH being tied to your gauntlet rather than specific Coromon moves is absolutely appreciated, although HMs wouldn't even be that bad combined with the next point. The system of "Shiny" coromon being correlated to how much potential they have is an interesting move and makes it all the more exciting when a differently colored opponent appears. Some of the menu and field sprites feel a bit lower quality by comparison but it's understandable that the in-battle sprites get the focus. The battle sprites for all of the Coromon are very well made, they feel like a natural next step from the sprites in Pokemon Black2/White2. At the very start it doesn't really come into play, but by the battles at the end of the demo it was pretty common for a Coromon to need to rest on either my side or the opponent's side if a particular creature was on a hot streak of just knocking everything out, which provides an interesting bit of breathing room in the battle. The SP system for limiting moves is very interesting. Many of the other points will be comparisons to Pokemon as a series, and given how much of the game is clearly mapped from that same formula I don't think that's an uncalled for or even unexpected point of comparison.

I found myself playing for several hours the first time I started it up and found myself sucked into it much more than I thought I would be, so the overall impression is very good.

I very much enjoyed the demo overall to start things off! I went in expecting an indie Pokemon clone and while that basically does describe what I got here, it manages to capture the spirit of generation 3-5-ish Pokemon very well. I realize I'm pretty late to the train for this but I just now found this, played the demo, and in the demo they encourage people to provide their thoughts, so here goes:
